The Story: This is a wonderful, off-beat variation of the saloon situation comedy. Nuclear bombs have destroyed much of the US and various denizens of this working-class bar are trying to decide what to do. Enter a traveling salesman who turns out to be God, come to offer the bartender immortality if he will write a new Bible and get it right this time.

March 5 – 21: The Savannah Sipping Society by Jones Hope Wooten

The Story: In this delightful comedy, four unique Southern women needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines are drawn together by fate and an impromptu happy hour – and decide it’s high time to reclaim their former enthusiasm for life. Over the course of six months, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jump-start their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment – and most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new old friends.

The Story: In this witty comedy about sibling rivalry, two ageing brothers are reunited after a sixteen year old argument only to pick up on their sibling rivalry where it left off. Seventy year old Max Stuart has sold the family business, an antique store in New York, and has moved to the Sunshine State with his wife of fifty-one years, Florence. Recovering from a heart attack has made Max feel old and useless, which has made him bitter and unforgiving. As Florence tries to nurse him back to good health, Barney, Max’s fraternal twin brother, shows up sixteen million dollars richer, with a twenty-three year old bride and a business opportunity for Max.
